ABOUT
Raised in a small town in central Scotland, Max Baird moved to Canada at the age of thirteen. Settling in Fredericton, NB, Max always enjoyed painting and drawing. As an adult, he pursued art from a more practical perspective, earning a certificate in fine arts and a diploma in graphic design from The New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. Shortly afterward Max began working at The White Lotus Tattoo Company in 2015, apprenticing under Shaun Martinson.
Max primarily works in the Japanese and Neo-traditional styles, focusing on graphic imagery, bold line work and tattoos made to stand the test of time. He has a fondness for the natural world, fantasy, symbolism and mysticism, to name a few. He enjoys the creative potential in all ideas brought to him and likes to explore concepts with his clients. It’s crucial for him that a tattoo lasts well into the future. He does both large-scale and smaller one shot pieces, and is happy to tattoo in black and grey or colour.
